General Eligibility: Candidates must satisfy the following conditions as on the last date of the online application submission:
- Passing the qualifying examination or changing religion after the last date of application submission will not be considered.
Nativity:
- Tamil Nadu candidates who have completed VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII standards from schools in Tamil Nadu are eligible. They do not need to provide a Nativity Certificate.
- Tamil Nadu native candidates who completed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII standards or their equivalent outside Tamil Nadu must provide the Nativity Certificate in electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate.
- Children of Central Government Employees can apply irrespective of their native, provided their parents or guardians have served in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years. A TNEA certificate from the employer is required.
- Children of employees in Public Sector or Government recognized institutions who have been employed continuously in Tamil Nadu for the past five years can also apply. Proof such as Income Tax returns and PF slips must be provided.
- Children of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers can apply. They need a letter from their parent confirming this.
- Other state candidates who completed VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII standards in Tamil Nadu are eligible and do not need to provide a Nativity Certificate.
