Selection Process for OPSC ASCO Recruitment 2024:
(a) Candidates for Assistant Soil Conservation Officer posts will be selected based on marks from a Competitive Recruitment Examination. This includes a Written Test with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and an Interview.
(b) The Written Test consists of two papers, Paper I & Paper II, each worth 100 marks. Both papers are MCQ-based.
(c) Candidates can choose to take the Written Test in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, or Horticulture.
(d) Each paper has 100 questions, each worth one mark.
(e) Each paper lasts one and a half hours.
(f) Based on Written Test scores, the Commission will shortlist candidates for the Interview/Viva-Voce. Up to two job openings, five candidates will be invited. If there are more than two vacancies, twice the number of vacancies will be called.
(g) The Interview/Viva-Voce carries 25 marks.

Other Eligibility Conditions for OPSC ASCO Recruitment 2024:
(i) Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
(ii) Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak Odia. Additionally, they must have:
- Completed middle school with Odia as a subject in the language; or
- Passed Matriculation with Odia as the medium of examination in a non-language subject; or
- Passed Odia as a language subject in Class VII final examination from a recognized school or Educational Institution by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government.
Note: Cut-off marks, answer keys, and individual marks will be available on the Commission’s website after the final results and select list are published.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR VERIFICATION:
Candidates invited for document verification or interview (Viva Voce test) must bring the following:
- Certificate from High School (H.S.C.) or similar showing birth date issued by the Board/Council.
- Bachelor’s Degree Certificate in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry and Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
- Mark-sheets of all the above exams passed, including failed attempts, issued by the Board/Council/University.
Candidates must write “Submitted by me” on each copy of the document, sign it fully, and date it. These originals and photocopies will be verified later. Failure to bring them will result in not being allowed to attend the interview (Viva Voce test).
